Empress Anastasia

A 7-piece masterwork in crimson and gold from the Sergiev Posad tradition. The outer doll depicts a serene maiden in a deep crimson headscarf adorned with hand-painted golden rose garlands and trailing green leaves. Her burgundy sarafan features elaborate gold filigree scrollwork and clusters of wild strawberries. Multiple coats of natural lacquer give each piece a warm, luminous glow. Hand-turned from aged linden wood, signed by the artist.
